“Don’t Look Down” Won the Grammy!
| Dear Friends, I’m so happy to share that “Don’t Look Down” won the Grammy for Best Engineered Album, Classical. This belongs to the incredible team who captured every detail of these sounds: Mike Tierney, who engineered and mixed the album, and mastering engineer Alan Silverman. And to Sandbox Percussion, whose meticulous attention to detail in both their performances and as co-producers made it all possible. |

This project was a labor of love—hundreds of hours spent recording, mixing, and refining—and truly a group effort. These collaborations go back a decade, and the process of bringing them to life involved so many incredible people. If you haven’t already, I’d invite you to stream on a platform of your choice, or buy it from Bandcamp!

On the horizon: Lorelei Ensemble performs “Beaufort Scales” at the ICA Boston on March 20-21, Adam Tendler brings “Area of Refuge” to Big Ears Festival on March 29, and the Stuttgart Philharmonic performs “Will There Be Singing?” on May 8. Then in mid-May, Anthony Marwood, Coleman Itzkoff, and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra premiere my new double concerto for violin and cello (a co-commission with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra), plus some very exciting summer events that aren’t quite ready to be announced.
