Some news: I’ve signed with Schott, an FYC, and a premiere
I’ve signed an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement with Schott Music. My relationship with Schott goes back many years, and it’s an honor to join their international roster. I’m looking forward to working with them to build my catalog around the world, and especially with the team in New York.

For Your Consideration: The Year of Silence
I know most of you aren’t Grammy voting members, but the wonderful thing about this time of year and the FYC process is that it gives me a chance to share a work I’m deeply passionate about: The Year of Silence, with Dashon Burton, Teddy Abrams, and the Louisville Orchestra, out on Pentatone. You can stream the album on the platform of your choosing and read about it on the FYC page.
I also just made a score-follower video, so you can listen and watch along:
It Looks Quite Curious
Stile Antico, a world-class choir from London, comes to New York to give the world premiere of It Looks Quite Curious, a Miller Theatre commission: a setting of a letter Walt Whitman wrote to his mother from Washington, which George Oppen, another of my favorite poets, quoted at the close of Of Being Numerous.
Oct 15 · Miller Theatre · Oct 16 · Boston Early Music Festival · Oct 18 · Brevard, NC
